The woman wants a stylish anniversary celebration, the man a big techno party. The celebration of Elodie and Sebastien’s 20th anniversary shows that you don’t have to choose one or the other.
If you’ve been married for 20 years, you’ve probably been through a few ups and downs together. When it comes to organizing weddings, we are professionals – but when it comes to giving tips for a good marriage, we don’t want to overstep our competences… Nevertheless, it seems clear to everyone that in a good relationship / marriage, compromises have to be made. This was also the case for Elodie and Sebastien when planning their anniversary celebration. Elodie attached great importance to a stylish celebration with beautiful decorations and good food. For Sebastien, music was one of the top priorities. It should be a real techno party. Fortunately, together we found a way to reconcile the wishes of both of them.
As usually at the beginning of the planning of such a celebration is the search for the perfect venue. Here it was necessary to find one that both fits a tasteful celebration and also has a certain luxury to offer, as well as being open for a real techno party until the early hours of the morning.
Basically, most venues have one restriction that throws a wrench in the plans of so many bridal and party-loving couples: after 10 p.m., the outside area must be quiet. How accurate this is implemented varies from venue to venue and depending on the neighborhood. In this venue, fortunately, a techno party, indoor or even outdoor, was no problem until the early morning hours. But this is only because the entire house was rented exclusively and there are no neighbors in the immediate vicinity who could complain about the noise.
Now it was up to us to implement the couple’s demands in an appropriate and balanced way. The celebration should be stylish, but clearly different from a classic wedding. The guests should be spoiled with good and at the same time healthy, seasonal food – but then a small symbolic cake to cut and also additional sweets could not be missing.
Also regarding music, a suitable realization had to be found for both Elodie and Sebastien. Here we resorted to a mathematical solution. Two different music styles = two different DJs. The first DJ was to pick up all the guests and get them dancing. The DJane, who flew in especially from Berlin, then heated up the “hard core” until the early morning hours with her techno beats.
Finally, the question remains – why celebrate a 20-year wedding anniversary? Elodie and Sebastien’s celebration provided so many reasons. The most important one, however, is probably: anyone who still loves each other so much after 20 years of marriage, who still remembers so clearly how they met and the feelings they had when they met, and who can still give each other so much love after all these years and testify to this with the most romantic words, should definitely celebrate this with a party.
