Tips for a relaxed wedding

The wedding day is also called the “most important day in life”. Even if some think this is exaggerated, every bride and groom confirms after the wedding that the day just went by way too fast. How to enjoy the wedding day to the fullest and celebrate as relaxed as possible, shows you the wedding of Aurelia and Claude. We give you tips for a relaxed wedding in this blog post.

For this bridal couple it was clear from the beginning that they wanted to spend as much quality time as possible with their loved ones at their wedding and not rush from one program point and place to another. So we took this into consideration from the very beginning of the planning process and took a few important points into account:

Timing: Aurelia and Claude wanted to celebrate their civil and church wedding as close together as possible. One possibility would have been to have both on the same day – but this would have meant a very packed and relatively stressful day for the bride and groom and also for the guests. Just think about when the bride would have to start styling if the civil ceremony started at 11:00 am, for example (although there really wasn’t much to do styling-wise with our beautiful bride!) – she looked just gorgeous that way, too. So they decided to have their civil wedding on the Friday before the church wedding.

Places within walking distance: Long distances between the various locations can make a wedding day extremely long and the program bog down. Aurelia and Claude therefore made sure that the distances were as short as possible. Thus, the lunch after the civil ceremony took place only a five-minute walk from the civil location. Afterwards, the guests and the bride and groom made their way individually to Stans – and that’s where they stayed… 😉 The traditional bachelor party, the church wedding, the subsequent festivities and also the brunch on Sunday morning all took place in Stans. All ways could be managed comfortably on foot.

Select program points specifically: An important program item for the bride and groom and a real highlight was the polterabend on Friday. The guests brought old china, which was smashed and then had to be swept up by the bride and groom. Great entertainment was also provided by a highly professional band, which created a great atmosphere in various formations on Friday and Saturday evening. From the small combo for the suitable background music up to the 10-headed formation, which provided for the perfect party mood, they led everything in their repertoire and pulled so a red thread by the whole celebration.

Tips for a relaxed wedding

Do without long guest contributions: Often the guests of a wedding mean well with the bride and groom and would like to thank them for the invitation or the long-standing friendship with a performance. Sometimes even just groomsmen or close family members feel a little pressure to have to make a contribution or even hire professional entertainment as a surprise. Our tip: keep guest contributions and also professional entertainment points to a minimum. Tell your guests as precisely as possible what kind and how many guest contributions are desired, and have your groomsmen or wedding planner coordinate them. Less is often more here! The time on the wedding day is short, often the informal chatting and spending time with the guests comes a little too short.

Reduce group photos: Of course, you want to remember the wedding forever, the beautiful wedding photos help to remember all the details for a very long time. But let’s be honest – who really looks at the posed group photos regularly and with pleasure? Most of the time, the spontaneously taken photos are much more beautiful and, above all, more genuine. So don’t waste your precious time on the wedding day with a lot of posed group photos. Limit yourselves to the most important people, so that the grandma gets her photo for the family album…

Hire a wedding planner: Last but not least – a wedding planner also ensures that you can enjoy your wedding day to the fullest. Aurelia and Claude have also recorded this:

You have also made our special wishes possible, such as the fairy lights :-); Especially the entire, relaxed flow of the two wedding days will remain in our memory. You were always on hand, had everything under control, were the good soul in the background, which was also very positively noticed by our guests.
