The challenge of a venue change at the wedding

Die Herausforderung eines Location-Wechsels an der Hochzeit

Our bridal couples 2020 and 2021 really did not have it easy. Corona, pretty much put a spoke in everyone’s wheel and everything that was diligently planned and organized, had to be persistently postponed and reorganized. This was also the case for our bride and groom Julia and Raffael. Their wedding was postponed from 2020 to 2021. But that was not the only challenge. The two decided on several venues. Therefore, in this blog we would like to talk about the challenge of a venue change at the wedding.

The challenge of a venue change at the wedding

Many couples choose to get married in a “all in one” venue. This simply means that all program points take place in one and the same place. From the wedding ceremony and the aperitif to the banquet and the party, everything takes place at the same place. Sometimes also the overnight stays. Unfortunately, this is not always possible and not always desired, which makes the organization more complex and extensive.

Some bridal couples also want to offer their guests various entertainment or even excursion options at the wedding, which involves more organizational effort, but can be made pretty cool with the right transportation, accurate planning and good information to the guests.

In any case, it will not be boring for the guests. It is best to inform your guests in advance with the invitation or on a website about the project and the approximately planned schedule. This also gives everyone the chance to prepare for the day.

Julia and Raffael married first civil in Sarnen with subsequent aperitif directly on site. The guests arrived already for the wedding with various shuttle cabs, since almost every guest has booked a hotel in the vicinity and was picked up directly there by the organized transport. The entire transport from the three different hotels and from Sarnen train station to the dream venue was coordinated by Liebesding with the bride and groom.

Directly after the aperitif, the guests were picked up by a vintage post bus and taken to the harbor in Alpnach. There began the wonderful boat trip across Lake Lucerne to Hergiswil .

Of course, the shuttle buses picked up the guests again after the boat ride and took the guests to the hotels for check-in. But that’s not all, the guests were then taken to the gondola lift, where the guests were all transported to the evening venue.

So you can see the challenge of a venue change at the wedding. There is a lot to consider and organize, so that each guest arrives at his desired destination and no one is forgotten. And of course, after the banquet, the guests were all brought back safely by the gondola to the parking lot and there with smaller cabs back to the hotel.

Basically, we are very happy with how the transport and the multiple venue change worked. We are here for all future couples and together we rock the transport with you! Please contact us for a first meeting.

Dear Julia and Raffael, thank you very much for your trust, your loving nature and your appreciation. We really enjoyed working with you and wish you only the best for your future with your sweet family!
