In contrast to abroad, churches in Switzerland are rarely used for purposes other than religious services and celebrations. But is it possible to use a church as an event venue in Switzerland? Yes, that is possible. That’s exactly what Christina and Alexander in Basel did this year for their wedding.
After the church service, the banquet and party also took place in the Elisabethenkirche in the heart of Basel. A very special venue and a unique, almost magical ambience. And the fact that the wedding could take place in the same place from the ceremony to the party – and even in a church – was also very exciting for us. We will definitely not have been there the last time.
But the wedding of Christina and Alexander was not only special because of the unusual venue, it was also the first wedding with Corona certificate for us. It was the first wedding with over 100 guests that could be celebrated without further restrictions. Also for us a very special moment to follow our passion again and to see people celebrating unconstrained again.
It was super nice to see that the guests at this wedding were able to travel from all different parts of the world to enjoy the special day with the two of them.
They also had a Vietnamese tea ceremony after the church wedding, which highlighted the international flair. How nice that the church was also open to supporting other cultures. And how nice for us to be able to integrate such traditions into their big day.
We are ready for the upcoming weddings and are happy to advise and accompany you, with the added security of the certificates. Would you also like assistance in planning and implementing your wedding? Contact us for a free initial consultation – we look forward to hearing from you.
