Chinese tea ceremony with Swiss accents

Chinesische Teezeremonie

This breathtaking wedding of Anna and Christian brought us closer to the wonderful Chinese tea ceremony. We will probably not forget this day full of happiness, joy and breathtaking views of Lake Zug. The first part of the wedding took place with traditional rituals and concentrated in red and golden colour. The Chinese tea ceremony was celebrated on the ship “MS Schwyz” on Lake Zug.
Tea is very important in Chinese culture, for example at a wedding. This symbolizes purity, stability and fertility and should bring the new couple a lot of love and happiness. In China, the bridal couple shows their parents respect and gratitude for all the years of love and care during the wedding tea ceremony. At the same time, it thanks the parents-in-law for raising someone to whom it can now entrust its life.chinese tea ceremonyDuring this tea ceremony the rooms will be decorated in golden and red colours. The symbol of double happiness (囍, shuāng xǐ) is used, which in China symbolizes happiness in marriage and consists of two connected signs (喜+喜, xǐ+xǐ), which means “happiness, joy”.
After the first part of this heartwarming and exciting ceremony, the traditional ceremony was also celebrated at the Casino Zug Theatre. Red became white and Chinese tradition became Swiss modernity.
The wedding ceremony in this romantic ambience as well as the very elegant and stylish decoration during the wedding ceremony and in the banquet hall rounded off the perfect wedding. Of course there was also the supporting program with a very professional live band and many small attractions.
For us as wedding planners there is nothing more beautiful than to be present at such interesting and appreciative weddings. Once again we experienced a wonderful wedding and are incredibly proud that we were able to make this day an unforgettable experience.

Thank you and all the love to Anna & Christian.
