This year we had the pleasure to support Angela and Matthias in planning and realizing their wedding on their own farm. The two met and fell in love on the farm and therefore it was quickly clear, if possible they would also like to get married on their own farm. We were very much looking forward to the challenge of transforming their farm into a wedding location.
The wedding on your own farm has many advantages, for example, you have a lot of space and you are completely free to design and implement your own ideas. However, it also means a lot of work and requires good planning, because experience shows that the weddings that do not take place in a fixed location such as a restaurant or hotel are the most elaborate. But of course, these are also the most individual weddings.
After a long planning phase and preparation, the transformation of the courtyard on site into a dream wedding location could now start 1 1/2 days before the actual celebration. For the bride and groom, of course, the transformation and preparation of the site began much earlier.
A wonderful large courtyard, an old barn and lots of work awaited. After the premises were cleared, cleaned and made ready for the furniture delivery, we started with a whole team of great service providers and helpers to set up the wedding ceremony, the aperitif area, the banquet as well as the bar and dance floor. Electric cables were laid everywhere for the various service providers and every string of lights and light bulb was checked individually. Everything was thought of.
And what is the best thing about having your own location that is completely transformed is the surprise effect when, as in this case, the barn is transformed and decorated. We too are stunned every time the candles are lit and everything is ready for the arrival of the guests.
If you also have your own location or a beautiful place or would like to celebrate the wedding on your own farm, we will be happy to help you with the implementation and planning. We look forward to hearing from you for a non-binding initial consultation.
