Get-together before the wedding

A wedding is more than just a day of celebrations – it’s an opportunity to share precious moments with the people who are most important to you. So what better way to start the festivities than with a relaxed get-together before the wedding? Especially for weddings that take place further away from the bride and groom’s home, a welcome reception is ideal to warmly welcome the guests and give them the opportunity to arrive and get in the mood.

In this blog post, we would like to give you a few reasons why a get-together the evening before is the perfect way to start the wedding weekend.

1. Relaxed arrival day for everyone
A get-together the evening before helps to make the arrival day calm and relaxed. Guests have the opportunity to arrive, freshen up and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the festivities without any stress.

2. Start the weekend in a relaxed and casual way
At a wedding, people from different groups of the bride and groom often come together who don’t know each other yet. The evening before gives everyone the chance to get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere, which means that on the wedding day itself everyone is already more familiar with each other and the vibe is much warmer.

3. A foretaste of the venue and the wedding theme
A get-together is also a great opportunity to prepare the guests for the venue and the theme of the wedding. Whether it’s a rustic BBQ, a cozy dinner under fairy lights or a festival-style event with lounges and a pool – the guests can already feel the atmosphere in a relaxed setting and get in the mood for the wedding celebration.

4. Special highlights create memories
The evening before also provides space for little surprises that make the wedding weekend something special. Whether it’s a surprise guest, a live singer or a regional buffet with local specialties – such highlights make the evening unforgettable and prepare for the special celebration the next day. In addition, speeches or surprises for the bride and groom can also take some of the pressure off the wedding day and loosen up the already packed program.

At Jessica & Nicola’s wedding in beautiful South Tyrol, we had the great pleasure of organizing a festival-style get-together. The guests were able to relax by the pool, enjoy Italian delicacies and were even surprised at the end of the evening with a surprise performance by a well-known singer from Switzerland.

A get-together before the wedding is not only practical, but also creates a particularly warm and relaxed atmosphere for the bridal couple and guests before the big day – a prelude that everyone will remember fondly.
