Wedding entertainment

The wedding venue has been chosen, the invitations have been sent out and preparations are in progress. But many bridal couples are now asking themselves the question: What should the Wedding entertainment look like on the big day? For best man, maid of honor and wedding planner, it is important to know exactly what the bride and groom want. Are speeches desired or not? Should there be PowerPoint presentations or games? Is there a professional wedding entertainment?

In this blog post, we present various options for making the wedding an unforgettable experience:

Professional entertainment

One of the options for a supporting program at the wedding is to hire professional entertainers. The choice is varied: from magicians and comedians to fire shows, caricaturists and illustrators – there are numerous options for professionally entertaining the guests. The bride and groom have the freedom to choose according to their own preferences. The important thing is that although a large part of the entertainment is offered to the guests, no one has to feel obliged to take part. This creates a relaxed atmosphere in which everyone can decide for themselves how much or how little they want to contribute.

Guest speeches & games

We all know the classic guest speeches at weddings – they are often emotional and mean a lot to the bride and groom. Nevertheless, it is important to ensure that no more than three to four such speeches are planned at the wedding so as not to overwhelm the bride and groom and the guests. The length of the speeches also plays an important role. Whether it is a speech or a game, a speech should ideally not last longer than 10 minutes in order to keep the attention and concentration of those present. Speeches that are too long can be tiring and interrupt the daily routine too much.

The contributions often consist of simple speeches without additional aids. However, it also happens that someone prepares a presentation and needs a projector and a screen for it. It is therefore important to clarify in advance exactly what technology or furniture is required for the respective contribution. These things can often be organized directly through the wedding venue or hired externally if required. Another crucial point when planning the guest speeches, which are often intended as a surprise for the bride and groom, is to know the wishes of the bride and groom in advance. Many bridal couples tell the best man/maid of honor or the wedding planner what they have in mind and what they would like to avoid. This helps to prevent unpleasant situations or inappropriate surprises on the big day. Relatives and guests should also respect this.

When it comes to games, it’s also nice to choose a game that is specifically adapted to the interests and wishes or hobbies of the bride and groom instead of the usual classics such as “me or you”. There are no limits to creativity here.

Photo box – Guestbook

One of the best-known highlights at weddings are photo boxes or 360° video platforms. There is a large selection to choose from: In addition to classic photo boxes, there are also interactive mirrors that serve as photo boxes and are guaranteed to attract attention. Photo boxes not only offer an entertaining option for guests, but also create lasting memories for the bride and groom through the photos or videos created. The photo box is often combined with a guest book in which guests can stick photos and leave personal messages for the bride and groom throughout the day. Of course, photos can also be taken in the form of Polaroid pictures or with disposable cameras.

This is just a small insight into the variety of entertainment options at a wedding. The most important thing is that the wishes of the bride and groom are fulfilled and that the guests feel comfortable and are well entertained.

Less is often more. Too many program items can overwhelm both the bridal couple and the guests. Therefore, special attention should be paid to entertainment when planning the wedding. A suitable program is particularly important here.

The entertainment at Michèle and Stefan’s wedding was provided by an illustrator who drew the wedding guests during the evening. The result was unique and the guests now have a wonderful memory of their wedding.
