Winter wedding in the mountains

The mountains have a special attraction for us. They are breathtaking and provide a fascinating background for unforgettable moments. That’s why it’s no surprise that more and more couples are deciding to have a wedding in the mountains. Jana and Heinz chose exactly such a winter wedding in the mountains, in the beautiful Engadine, in Samedan. We couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful start to this year’s wedding season.

Samedan, the village in the Engadine, is like a second home for our bridal couple. This was also the main reason why the couple decided to have a two-day wedding here. The big celebration of the two began on a Friday in February with the civil wedding in the closest family circle in the village center of Samedan.

After the civil ceremony, the bride and groom invited all guests to a festive apero at the nearby Hotel Donatz. Here the guests were treated with tasty appetizers and refreshing drinks.

After a short break in the afternoon, the evening continued with an unforgettable get-together to which the whole wedding party was invited. Some of the guests had come especially from abroad, which made the celebration even more special. Everyone had a chance to get to know each other better and interact for the first time at the welcome dinner. They enjoyed delicious food and drinks in a relaxed and cozy atmosphere.

The evening program was then livened up by a performance from the local improv theater. The talented actors of “Drauffischem” provided with their spontaneous and funny performances for laughs and good mood among the guests.

The next day, the free wedding ceremony took place at the Hotel Bernina across the street. The historic Kaisersaal of the hotel, built in 1865, was transformed into a beautiful wedding venue and the bride’s favorite flowers, the tulips, could be perfectly integrated into the design concept.

The arrival of the bride was unique at this wedding, because Jana drove up in the horse carriage together with her maid of honor and was eagerly awaited by her groom. The free wedding ceremony that followed, with musical accompaniment, was perfectly suited to the bride and groom. The sunlight shining into the hall gave the wedding ceremony an additional romantic atmosphere and made it an unforgettable experience.

After the ceremony, an aperitif and cake cutting took place at the Piste 21 restaurant to toast the newlyweds. The restaurant has a unique location, directly on the cross-country ski runway with a view of the nearby Engadine airfield and the beautiful mountain panorama of the Engadine.

After the cake was cut and the guests were treated to culinary delights, the bride and groom used the time to take a few photos in the beautiful mountain landscape.

In the meantime, the beautiful wedding hall was transformed into a banquet hall, where later the dinner took place. Also here the decoration of the free wedding ceremony was integrated, so that these beautiful flowers could be used as long as possible.

After the delicious banquet dinner at the Hotel Bernina, the wedding celebration was not over yet, because the wedding party was still dancing in an Engadine club afterwards.

The mood was lightened by the DJ and so this was the unforgettable end of this beautiful wedding party and it was celebrated until late at night.

“Our wedding was an unforgettable experience that will always be with us throughout our lives. We are still carried by the wonderful vibes that the wedding celebration has released. We are deeply grateful to you – the team of Liebesding – that you have accompanied our celebration so lovingly, elegantly energetic and professionally. We always felt absolutely safe with you from the preparation to the realization. You were outstanding in the best and truest sense of the word, far beyond good professionalism. And because of you, we had enough space to prepare ourselves emotionally in peace for that beautiful day.”

It was also for us an unforgettable weekend full of love, joy and unforgettable moments. The bride and groom and their guests will surely remember this special winter wedding in the mountains for a long time.

Dear Jana and Heinz, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your wedding. We wish you all the best for your further time together. – Your Liebes-Ding Team
