Relaxed, easy, uncomplicated – these were the first words Elmira and Oleg used to describe their wedding vision. Rarely have we seen a couple who lived this from A-Z and pulled it off on their wedding day – from getting ready together to the relaxed party at the lake. What could be more fitting than a wedding with a flying dinner? Exactly, nothing! And yet there are some points to consider.
The wedding day is often associated with some tension. The bride and groom are the center of attention the whole day. Not for everyone. Therefore, it was important to Elmira and Oleg to organize the whole wedding day as relaxed as possible. So they chose to style together in their own beautiful home. The familiar environment curbs the nervousness. Helping each other, saying kind words, spending time together and enjoying delicious food – what better way to get in the mood for the big day.
Now the two were ready to say yes in front of their loved ones. For some bridal couples, this is an intimate moment that they want to enjoy only among themselves and with their best men and maid of honor. However, for many couples, it’s especially important to have the most important people around them at this very moment. Fortunately, there are also some beautiful civil wedding venues where this is also possible in terms of space.
At the following photo shoot Elmira and Oleg could enjoy some time for themselves again. Photos near the wedding venue and a private driver have also contributed here to the maximum possible relaxation.
For bridal couples, the question then often arises: What will the guests do while we are taking pictures? Elmira and Oleg wanted to offer their guests something special and bring their new home a little closer. So the guests were able to enjoy a leisurely boat ride on Lake Zug and were kept busy with a little challenge – the Photo Scavenger Hunt. The bridal couple was then brought along by boat and chugged along with the guests on the beautiful Lake Zug.
Long distances, complicated routes and long waiting times can make a wedding day hectic. How convenient that Elmira and Oleg were able to arrive with their guests directly by boat at the banquet location. Here they were immediately greeted by relaxed vibes from the amazing live band and were able to start the evening with family and friends in comfort.
Such a casual, relaxed atmosphere would be aborted by a classic and sometimes somewhat stolid “seated dinner”. With a flying dinner, this can be counteracted. There is no fixed seating, but rather casual and informal movement from table to table. You can have conversations with everyone and enjoy delicious food. However, there are a few points to keep in mind when having a flying dinner:
The selection of food should be well thought out. There should be something for everyone. Due to smaller portions, however, not every guest has to like everything – you simply skip one course and grab the next one again.
It is also important that enough seating is provided. Even if the flying dinner has the character of a “cocktail party” – after a long wedding day, you are happy to be able to sit comfortably.
The venue and the service team should also be fully committed to the flying dinner. Instead of traditional large plates, the food is served on small platters, in glasses or even on appetizer spoons. The visual aspect also plays a major role here – the small portions should not only be a treat for the palate, but also a feast for the eyes. It should also be noted that as many portions as possible fit on a serving tray, so that the service staff, who are even more challenged at a flying dinner, do not have to make unnecessary walks and long waiting times can be avoided.
If you follow these points, nothing stands in the way of an absolutely relaxed evening. So the guests have after the meal also still desire to make long party and celebrate extensively!
