We all usually focus on the weekend when planning our leisure time and therefore plan the beautiful special events of life on these days. But why? Because we all have Sunday off – is the answer of most of our couples. But wait a minute – if you think about it, your sister is a doctor and your best friend is a flight attendant. Oh, and dad actually works 7 days a week in a restaurant. So if we think about it again, we quickly realize that many of the people we want to have with us on our unique day also work on the weekend. Is it still appropriate to get married on Friday or Saturday? We think it’s time to shake up this tradition a bit.
Therefore, it would be perfect for a Wedding Wednesday! Lilia and Bill got married this year on Wednesday, June 15. This day was perfect for them because most of the guests came from Zug and the surrounding area and June 16 was a public holiday in Zug, where the guests had the day off. Therefore, super combined by the two and a modern approach to wedding planning.
A big advantage of getting married during the week can also be working with your desired service providers. Since most venues are less booked during the week, it is often possible to still get a date. Our bride and groom decided to plan with us in early April, so we had a little over 3 months to make the wedding happen. If they would have celebrated the wedding on a weekend in June or July, it would have been much more difficult to find locations, photographers, musicians and a wedding officiant. Through the implementation of Wedding-Wednesday, the preferred service providers of the two were still available.
Since the dates during the week are not so in request, locations can often also be booked exclusively, which can have a positive effect on the rental prices. Of course, this can also have an influence on the overall planning of the budget, since the location and food & beverage are usually the largest budget items.
They ultimately decided on a beautiful new location. Since it had a modern air-conditioned wooden room, the wedding ceremony and banquet took place in the same room. So first the wedding ceremony was diligently decorated by our florists.
The ceremony was followed by the aperitif, during which the cake was cut. Thanks to the beautiful weather, the aperitif could take place outside on the forecourt. In the meantime, our team transformed the room into a banquet hall.
The afternoon and the evening flew by and we were able to enjoy an atmospheric evening with excellent food. After the touching guest contributions, the party followed, which was opened with beautiful bridal dance and the gin bar.
